We always recommend to glue the underglow lights right on the grooves of the plastic chassis sides. If you are going to bash on a loose rocky field, the best spot is inside the body since rocks can damage the LEDs. It’s water and mud safe.

We made a new upgrade to all our headlights, now there is no required to use any lock rings because we added some grooves for the body to lock itself, after you put the headlights in the body, is highly recommended to add some type of glue all the way around in order to keep it secure. If your body is going to be a shelf queen, then gluing is not needed. Please note that this upgrade only affects the scale headlights for bodies.

We used the mojave scale headlights as example, you can see the groove right on one of the sides (red circle and arrow)

Sometimes you will need to trim the light strips in order to get it to fit in custom spots, in that case, you can trim them one by one or many at the same time in order to get the length that you need, please note that the removed lights can be reused if you solder a new cable to it. 

You might receive a cable with two female terminals, one of those terminals must be connected to any free 2 pin output on your mini power supply board or splitter. The other end must be connected to the output of your remote controller or, if you don’t want to use the remote controller, it can be directly plugged to your receiver. In the last image you can see an example of a full wiring method, from the receiver to the lights.

Basically, you have to plug the remote controller, splitter, bluetooth controller or power supply into any free channel, make sure that your positive (red) and negative (black) are aligned in the same row as the servo and ESC are.
